This is a guest post by James from Red Pill Reviews. On his site, you’ll find honest reviews of the best products for men.
James is an upstanding guy who has built a terrific website and has freely offered me advice to help make this site better. When he recently began using kratom for the first time I asked him if he would write a guest post to share his experiences so far. He graciously agreed.
Kratom can take some tinkering with to learn how to use properly. James is very honest about what has and has not worked for him. I believe in a no-b.s. approach to learning about kratom and I think you’ll find his account very helpful if you’re new to kratom. I’ll turn it over to James…
How I Discovered Kratom
I first heard about Kratom while reading Good Looking Loser. I’m sure some of you are familiar with his work so you’ll understand what went through my mind…
“If Chris recommends it, Kratom must be good.”
That’s simply the immediate reaction I had because I put a lot of faith in his recommendations.
However, I didn’t buy Kratom right away. I saw the value in it and believed him 100% but I just didn’t think it was something I needed.
While both sound nice, they aren’t areas I have large problems with so I decided I didn’t need Kratom.
Plus, I’d read that Kratom may cause problems with memory retention. As a student, I can’t afford that. (Walt actually recommends it for some types of school work)
But when I started my own website, the situation somewhat changed. I now had the task of writing new, helpful and engaging content on a regular basis.
I don’t consider myself a naturally gifted writer (everything needs practice). So when I heard about how useful Kratom is for writing, I had to try it.
Where Did I Order Kratom?
Remember I told you about how Chris introduced me to Kratom? Well, therefore it seemed obvious that I would try his Kratom company first.
I’d never heard anything negative said about Happy Hippo.
I can’t tell you anything about other Kratom vendors because I only know Happy Hippo Herbals.
How Often Have I used Kratom?
Obviously, I’m not an expert on Kratom by anyone’s definition.
If you have questions, ask Walt (that’s what I do!). He knows everything there is to know about Kratom and he’s happy to help.
I’m serious, Walt is the man to ask.
What Method Did I Use To Burn Kratom
I’ve tried a bunch of different methods of burning it.
Some worked well and others didn’t.
My personal favourite at the moment is the simple Toss & Wash technique. It’s been the most consistently easy method to burn Kratom for me.
Every other method I’ve tried caused problems quite often. I don’t like the taste of Kratom so avoiding it is an important criteria for me.
At times, I struggled with it and spilled some Kratom. No big deal, but it messes with the accuracy of my dose.
I haven’t made Kratom tea yet but that is on my to-do list.
How Much Kratom Did I Burn?
This is a tricky subject.
Unfortunately, my scales aren’t accurate enough to measure Kratom consistently.
I don’t want to buy new scales at the moment (but I know I should). Because of that, I’ve used teaspoons to measure my dose.
I burned between 1 and 2 teaspoons per session.
I once went up to 2.5 teaspoons and ended up feeling sick and throwing up. Since then, I’ve been hesitant to use more than 2 teaspoons per session.
I don’t know if the problem was actually caused by taking too much Kratom. It may have been for a completely different reason but that experience somewhat scared me.
What Has Been My Experience With Kratom
The effects of Kratom have been very mild for me.
Other than the negative experience I talked about before, I’ve never noticed a huge difference while using Kratom.
I have noticed a slight improvement in mood and productivity. It’s hard to explain but I’ll try my best…
Basically, it feels like I’m having a great day (which I wasn’t before burning Kratom). Do you ever have those days where something great happens and you feel on top of the world?
That’s how I feel when I get the right amount of Kratom.
It doesn’t feel like I’m using a performance enhancing “drug”. Honestly, I think that’s what I was expecting so I’m a little disappointed so far.
But while the effects haven’t been life-changing for me (yet), I still see great potential in Kratom.
I have felt a mild effect before so if I get my dose right, it should be even better.
Luckily, I still have plenty Kratom left from my Happy Hippo Starter Pack. I’ll be experimenting with larger amounts again in the future.
The reason is simple: I know it’s my fear that is limiting my success with Kratom.
Does Kratom Make Writing Easier?
This is the main reason I personally use Kratom. While writing has become easier for me over time, I am always looking for ways to improve even further.
And I’m happy to say that: Yes, Kratom does make writing slightly easier for me.
I don’t get tired as quickly after burning Kratom. The result is that I can write more content without having to take a break.
If you’re a writer, that is a huge advantage.
I can only speak for myself obviously…
What I’ve found is that I struggle to get started writing but once I get going, I’m fine.
Do you see how Kratom helps me in a huge way here?
By writing a whole post – and I have some reasonably long posts – without taking a break, I can stay focused and writing becomes a lot easier.
What Kratom Strains To Try
I received 4 different strains of Kratom in my starter pack:
I haven’t tried either of the slow strains yet (Sleepy Hippo and Snuggie Hippo). I am looking for the energy benefit of Kratom so it seemed obvious to try the fast and moderate strains first.
What I’ll Try Next
Like I mentioned earlier, I want to try burning a larger amount of Kratom again.
Hopefully, I’ll get a stronger effect like the one so many others get.
I am also going to try making Kratom tea in the future.
Since I already have the slow Kratom strains, I might as well give them a try too at some point.
Kratom is a very interesting topic to write about and it’s been a pleasure to post on Kratom Guru.
If you found this site, you’re a lucky guy. Walt has been incredibly helpful to me.
Therefore, I know you’re in good hands.
Have a great day and until next time,
PS: You can find all the Kratom strains I talked about here.
